Line the streets of the parade route to show honor and respect to our nation’s heroes. The parade route locations and times will be posted on the website soon @ warriorbeachretreat.org. US Army (retired) LTC Allen West will be the guest speaker @ 7:00 PM at the church.\nThe ceremony is free and open to the public. No ticket required. Come out and support this event.

The play explores the struggles and challenges faced by Eddie as he navigates the complexities of his personal and professional life. \n\n\n\nPlease Note: ‘Pocatello’ contains adult language and themes\, making it unsuitable for children. However\, for those seeking a captivating and emotionally charged theatrical experience\, this play is not to be missed. DESCRIPTION:Mark your calendars for GCSC’s Financial Aid Night happening on Thursday\, February 29\, 2024\, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. in the Charles Hilton Center (CHC) on the Panama City Campus. \n\n\n\nThe FAFSA is required for any college student looking to receive financial aid.  High School seniors and other prospective college students are invited to attend to get assistance completing the new FAFSA application. \n\n\n\nAn FSA ID is required for a student and any contributors to complete the 2024-25 FAFSA. The FSA ID must be generated at least 24 business hours in advance of completing the FAFSA in order to have your tax information automatically uploaded to your application. We recommend bringing your 2022 tax documents with you to the event in case there are any issues with the data exchange between the FAFSA and the IRS. For more information\, visit studentaid.gov \n\n\n\nAlso\, a GCSC Foundation representative will be on-site to provide assistance with the Foundation Scholarship application that is due by March 15\, 2024. SUMMARY:GCSC VPA Presents “Inconceivable”
DESCRIPTION:The Visual & Performing Arts Division of Gulf Coast State College presents “Inconceivable” by Poppy Garcia. Garcia’s work is a combination of painting\, collage\, and a healthy dose of pop culture references. He uses a palette reminiscent of a Florida sunset and visual elements inspired by esoteric iconography\, classic cartoons\, and early Chicano Art. In “Inconceivable”\, Garcia examines our relationship to media and popular culture\, the role it plays in constructing our sense of a history\, and how we use that history to build a collective future. \n\n\n\nPoppy Garcia is an artist and curator from the Gulf Coast of Florida\, where they currently live and work. The event will start at 10:00 a.m. with a presentation of the flag and the singing of the National Anthem at Henry Brooks Memorial Walking Park\, located at 3529 E 3rd Street Springfield\, Florida 32401. \n\n\n\nWe are asking for your support for our event with a donation to our fundraising campaign. This year all proceeds will go towards the City of Springfield Event Fund\, allows us to provide the community with free events throughout the year. Our Fall Event Series originally began in 2016 as the Public Safety Fall Festival\, and was expanded in 2023 to include a movie series. In 2023 we averaged 100 people at each movie\, and approximately 1\,500 people attended the Fall Festival. In 2023\, we started our Sliding Into Summer event. The event featured five water slides\, free hot dogs and drinks\, and games. The event was attended by approximately 700 people.

DESCRIPTION:SAVE THE DATE: MARCH 6TH!Give to our 2024 campaign: Help us reach our $7\,500 goal to celebrate our 75 Years of Coastal and Marine Science! \n\n\n\nThis year\, we’re asking you to support our FSUCML Diving Scholarship to continue our goal of making this a yearly scholarship opportunity. \n\n\n\nAs a Preeminent University\, Florida State University (FSU) seeks to increase diversity in STEM programs through this annual diving scholarship that provides funding for an FSU student to become a Scientific Diver. The scholarship will include diving equipment and financial support to complete prerequisite open water certification training\, and eventually for AAUS Scientific Diver training with FSU’s Academic Diving Program (ADP). Any eligible student may apply for the scholarship and will be considered; however\, preference will be given to students from historically underrepresented groups\, in accordance with applicable University policies\, regulations\, and federal and state law. SUMMARY:GCSC to Hold Spring Inter-Professional Education Event
DESCRIPTION:Gulf Coast State College will hold a Spring Interprofessional Education (IPE) event on its North Bay Campus on Friday\, March 8\, 2024\, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. CST. \n\n\n\nAll students from the nursing\, health sciences\, and public safety divisions\, in conjunction with the unmanned vehicle systems (UVS) and digital media programs\, will conduct an interprofessional simulation event to strengthen communication skills\, clinical proficiency\, and collaboration among the various disciplines. More than 500 students and over 50 faculty and staff members are expected to participate in the event. \n\n\n\nThe event will simulate a fiery bus crash resulting in simulated patients with smoke inhalation\, respiratory distress\, trauma\, and burn-type injuries. There will also be several mock fatalities to simulate patient identification practices using dental forensic science.
