DESCRIPTION:Come join us for An Evening at the Edge of the Sea to learn about the wondrous sea life along our pristine shores and shallows. The evening kicks off with a brief overview of local ecology\, followed by a walk into the exposed tidal flats to see an array of fascinating creatures.  \n\n\n\nThese workshops take place at the FSU Coastal & Marine Laboratory in St. Teresa\, FL. They start at 5:30 PM and end at 7:30 PM (unless otherwise indicated)\, taking full advantage of daylight savings time.  The cost is $15 per person\, paid at the event (cash or check). Class size is limited to 20 people. The minimum age is 7 years old. No upper limit at all! We do ask that children between 7-13 are accompanied by a paying adult. \n\n\n\nWhat to bring: Old sneakers or other close-toed/heel shoes. No sandals. Bug Spray.

DESCRIPTION:Effective Wellness Solutions has launched a new STEM program designed for students.  This program integrates science\, technology\, engineering\, and mat (STEM) to encourage critical thinking skills.  We will have four sessions beginning June 3\, 2024 through July 26\, 2024 from 8 am to 5 pm (extended hours are available for an additional fee).  The project-based learning system will foster logical analysis\, experimentation\, and innovative thinking to encourage a positive outlook for future careers. \n\n\n\nTuition is $150 per session\, $425 for 3 sessions\, or $550 for 4 sessions. This is a fantastic all-day event for the whole family to enjoy\, and best of all\, it’s free! \n\n\n\nThe day begins with a $7 All-You-Can-Eat pancake breakfast sponsored by the Rotary Club of Lynn Haven\, at the Senior Activity Club (905 Pennsylvania Ave.) from 6-9 a.m. The opening ceremony for the “America: Home of the Brave\,” will begin at 8 a.m. at the junction of 9th St. and Hwy 77. At 9 a.m.\, over 60 floats will travel down Highway 77 beginning. and ending the route at 11th street. Residents will also line up along 5th street to watch the beginning of the parade at 8:45 a.m. During the parade\, attendees will also witness F-35s flyover performed by 325 FW at 9:15 a.m. Festivities at Sharon Sheffield Park will also begin at 9 a.m. to include rock climbing\, axe throwing\, a mechanical bull\, stilt walkers\, balloon artists\, face painters\, vendor booths\, food trucks\, games\, and more! \n\n\n\nThe “Let Freedom Ring” concert begins at 6 p.m. at A.L. Kinsaul Park with local talent\, Gr8ful Dads. At 7:30 p.m. Nashville’s star Deana Carter will take to the stage. Food trucks\, vendors\, yard games\, and free photos from the Gypsy Belle photo bus will all be a part of this amazing night. The grand finale tops off the night at 9 p.m. with a spectacular 25-minute fireworks show.
