SUMMARY:GCSC Students Host “The Mind’s Eye” at the Gallery of Art
DESCRIPTION:Seven students from Gulf Coast State College will be hosting a surrealist exhibition\, “The Mind’s Eye” at the Gallery of Art 850 from April 18 – 23\, 2024. \n\n\n\nThe featured artists for the show are Zachary Barber\, William Brown\, Natalie Earnest\, Paige Guthrie\, Hailey Moody\, Lee Ponds\, and Luke Thorne\, and through the art of surrealism\, they will discuss many stories from various perspectives\, such as unvarnished realities to dreamlike states using mixed mediums. \n\n\n\n“This body of work is unique in the way that every student has pulled inspiration from their own experiences. There is a deeper meaning behind each piece that not only the artists themselves have felt before\, but also the viewers\,” says Natalie Earnest\, student and artist. \n\n\n\nEvent info: \n\n\n\n\nExhibition Dates: April 18 – 23\, 2024\, from 12pm to 5pm. SUMMARY:GCSC Visual and Performing Arts Presents Annual Student Art Show
DESCRIPTION:The Visual & Performing Arts Division of Gulf Coast State College is proud to present the annual Student Art Show for 2024. \n\n\n\nThe exhibition is a showcase of talent and creativity within the GCSC Visual Art Department. It features work made by students in one of the studio art classes offered at the college over the course of the 2023-2024 school year. SUMMARY:Lynn Haven Spring Concert Series
DESCRIPTION:The City of Lynn Haven is excited to announce the return of its Spring Concert Series every Friday starting March 15th\, 2024. The concerts will be held from 6pm – 8pm at Sharon Sheffield Park located at 901 Ohio Ave\, Lynn Haven\, FL 32444. \n\n\n\nThe Spring Concert Series is a FREE-admission event focused on giving the community a family-friendly reason to enjoy the weather and spend time with loved ones. Each Friday there will be a new live performance\, with food truck vendors around the park. There are multiple guests scheduled for this series’ lineup and they include: True Soul on March 15th\, 12Eleven on March 22nd\, Anthony Peebles on April 5th\, Catalyst on April 12th\, Gr8ful Dads on April 19th\, Jack & Gin on April 26th\, Chris Godber & Friends on May 3rd\, and the Will Thompson Band will close out the concert series on May 10th.   \n\n\n\nWith it warming up outside\, the city is eager to bring back the Spring Concert Series to the community; Lynn Haven City Manager\, Vickie Gainer states\, “It’s so exciting to bring back this event year after year. The turnout gets better every series\, and it shows how receptive the community is to these great musicians and food vendors.
