DESCRIPTION:The City of Lynn Haven is proud to announce that a Re-Grand Opening and ribbon cutting ceremony of the Charlie James Smith Gymnasium at the Lynn Haven Sports Complex will be Tuesday\, August 15\, at 4:00 PM\, located at 2201 Recreation Drive\, Lynn Haven\, FL. \n\n\n\nAfter being destroyed nearly five years ago by Category 5 Hurricane Michael\, the Lynn Haven Sports Complex is reopening its state-of-the-art gymnasium with a newly refreshed look and brand-new equipment. The community is invited to help celebrate this important milestone with the City of Lynn Haven. \n\n\n\nThis event will introduce the remodeled gymnasium\, which includes two indoor basketball\, pickleball\, and volleyball courts\, an indoor concession stand\, an outdoor fenced playground\, and brand-new scoreboards. In addition\, the ribbon-cutting ceremony will commemorate the grand opening of Lynn Haven’s first-ever Boys & Girls Club. \n\n\n\nA ribbon cutting and plaque presentation with the Bay County Chamber of Commerce will commence the ceremony\, along with opening remarks from city officials and special guests. \n\n\n\nFollowing the ceremony\, attendees can explore the new facility and enjoy light refreshments catered by Sonny’s BBQ in Lynn Haven and Coca-Cola. \n\n\n\nAs the city prepares to welcome the community back to the Charlie James Smith Gymnasium\, City Manager Vickie Gainer states\, “We are so excited to rejoice in this important milestone as the city continues to rebuild from Hurricane Michael. DESCRIPTION:The Florida Institute for Political Leadership (FIPL) is pleased to announce our next virtual Campaign School & Community Leadership Training. \n\n\n\nThis 2-part online training school is scheduled for August 15 – 16\, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (ET) each day. \n\n\n\nThe online training school is highly recommended for candidates and anyone interested in running for local or state office\, serving their community\, or managing campaigns. It is open to everyone\, free to attend\, and non-partisan.
